I started trading emails a few weeks ago with a family expecting their 4th child. I was honest about my experience, lots of weddings…no newborns. Families? Yes! Newborns…no I photograph my own son all the time, but I don’t try to pose him. Luckily Stefannye had complete faith (pun intended) in my ability to capture her newest daughter. Faith was born on August 4th, and on August 10th I got to meet her; hopefully the first of many times we’ll spend together!

A couple days back Whitney had a chance to photograph Anita, the newest addition to an already awesome family. If you live in Austin be sure to check out the art show at OK Mountain that Lisa contributed to.  It is one of my favorites of the year so far.

The Turner Family actually added a member since we did this shoot. Congratulations!

Alright, we cheated a little bit, we didn’t do this session the day after they got married as the concept would dictate. We did this after they had a chance to go away on a relaxing honeymoon! These two are a blast, and I was so glad that their wedding day wasn’t the last time I would see them. And I hope to see them again! I love getting calls from couples about anniversary shoots or impending babies Ahem, on to the couple!
(I’d also like to mention that this was the essence of a engagement session that can be done through photojournalism. Many couples want to be posed when they’re alone together, but this couple took off on their own with their props and had a blast!)

Here I go, blogging out of order again, but I had to do this while Stephanie is still pregnant. She came into town with her husband, Jeff, and they gave us a call to see if we could possibly do a session for them while they were in the state for their baby shower. We managed to get a session together with just a few hours left before they had to board their plane! Stephanie is definitely part of the Whitney Lee extended family because Whitney shot her brother’s wedding a couple years ago (Phillip and Haixia). And I hope their new baby girl will be able to come back to us for a session of her very own one day!
