I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want first? The bad news? Okay. The equipment you need to make buttons costs about $300. Gulp. But the GOOD news is that once you have it, you can make 1” buttons for only pennies each! So affordable! And the designs and uses are limitless. Of course you can use them as wedding favors, but they’re great for promoting your band or your business, too. Or if you have a friend who is also getting married perhaps you can share the cost of the button machine.

As a professional photographer, I can tell you FOR SURE that the more natural light there is at your wedding venue, the better! Pull back the curtains! Open the blinds! Light light light! My blinging career began a few years ago when I started a fine art project where I would buy decorative wooden cut-outs from thrift stores and playfully “ice” them out. There is something about the juxtaposition of country-bumpkin décor and gangsta-style extravagance that makes me giggle. I never completed enough of this type of artwork to try to show it in a gallery, but now I can use what I’ve learned to help you add pizazz to your wedding day!
