Mei Lene and Ivan are working hard, pursuing dreams, and living in different cities. It must be so tough to live apart and then plan a wedding in another city. I was so happy they found time to come into Austin for an engagement session in the middle of the madness! They braved SXSW because they needed this to happen over their spring break. The packed streets of music lovers really helped achieve that buzzing city vibe!

See you guys in Brenham in December! Yay!

Erin and Dustin met as freshmen at Rice College and had a very romantic first date of watching Saw IV When it came time to plan the wedding they figured that Texas Hill Country would be the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding. For Erin and Dustin’s engagement shoot we decided to incorporate some of the more eclectic sights of East Austin into the pictures, and I adore how well these quirky, colorful photos turned out!

I *love* the Zilker Kite Festival!  It is so pretty and whimsical and FUN!  Sadly I missed it earlier this month (note to self: next year get there EARLY) so make myself feel better about it I’m re-posting these photos that I took at the 2011 Kite Festival.  Suspend your disbelief!

Oh my brave, beautiful couple! Chelsea and Chris got thwarted by rain a few times, so Chelsea decided that our 3rd/4th date (we lost track) was going to be it no matter what! She braved freezing morning temperatures in her cute little dress so we could finally have the engagement shoot. Go Chelsea!

At least we know you’ll be warm on your June wedding day. Bring on the sunshine!
