When Alicia told me all her plans for her wedding, I knew it was going to be awesome and creative but I guess I didn’t completely wrap my head around how creative she is because I was blown away by all of the details. Alicia’s main goal for her wedding was to make it personal to her, Garrett, and their family and friends. I know that may sound obvious; that a couple would want to make it personal- but it doesn’t always happen. Alicia made it happen. From her autograph cat in place of a guestbook, to the coloring book with pages upon pages of the cutest things I’ve ever seen, to the wedding pins, to the mobiles hanging outside in the trees, and on and on and on- it was personal. And beyond that, it was fun! The dance floor was constantly moving and I even got pulled in to a conga line at one point. Definitely a night to remember and I’m so glad that I got to document it!

And here’s a link to Alicia’s blog where she is constantly posting crafty cute things!

I don’t think enough people take bridal portraits. They’re a great thing to have, give you more photos in your dress, a different location/background than your wedding venue, and you get to do a dry-run on your hair, outfit, and other things. Plus…you have plenty of time to play around! Logan was a lot of fun to work with, and she came armed with multiple pairs of shoes, a couple different kinds of flowers, an umbrella and more!

By the time I left Lyndsey and Jarrett’s awesome wedding, I felt like I had two new friends. Their wedding was held at Hotel ZaZa in Houston, TX and completely rocked my photo taking socks off. The grounds around the hotel that the bride and groom let me drag them around.. beautiful! I absolutely love going to new locations and feeling inspired to snap snap snap away. Everything about their day was lovely- from the hours warming up to the big ceremony to the exit through a swarm of bubbles.

Rachel and Lewis were literally giddy on their wedding day. During our time together taking bride and groom portraits, I do not think that Lewis stopped giggling or that Rachel could stop looking at Lewis from the corner of her eye. It was so much fun to be around their infectious energy and smiles, especially when they let me pose them in the bathtub. And FYI: Rachel designed her own dress!
