Liz and Troy Engagement
As many of you know, I am from Ohio. I've been in Austin for over five years now and I love it. LOVE IT. And it has taken time, but I have come to understand that there is a great rivalry between UT football fans and Texas A&M football fans. Now I'm not a huge sports fan, but UT did (barely!) defeat my alma matter The Ohio State University in a recent important game, so I figure that it is time for a pro-Aggie post.
Meet Liz and Troy. They attended Texas A&M and they have a lot of school pride, which is really cool. For their engagement session I made my very first trip out to College Station and Liz and Troy showed me all around campus. It is really nice! There were lots of traditions and superstitions that they taught me about, like the statue of a man who coined the phrase "a penny for your thoughts." Apparently Texas A&M students will put money on that statue on exam days so that they will do well on their test. Also the century tree is important. Couples can walk together under the shade of the tree and it is very romantic, but if you are single and walk under those branches then legend says you will be doomed to stay single forever.
Good times.
