Here I go!
1. I played bassoon when I was in high school! I still own my instrument, but these days all I can do is make it squawk.
2. Related to high school and music, each year in high school I performed in the 'Tiger Talent Show.' Each year I would sing and play a different Tori Amos song on the piano. There are videotapes out there somewhere...oh no! And presently I sing for a rock band. Yes. We've yet to play a show, but we're good. Really good. And I'm being modest.
3. I love really corny jokes. I'll tell you one now: Where can you find a dog with no legs? (scroll down to the bottom of this post for the answer)
4. I've been vegetarian for over 18 years. But don't worry meat eaters- I'm not judgemental. :)
5. I'm a fine artist too. I've shown my artwork in Austin, nationally, and internationally. Last summer I had a solo show at Women and Their Work gallery here in Austin. This summer I will show some work in São Paulo, Brazil.
6. My girlfriends are amazing artists and people. Besides the rad wedding photographer ladies I'm tight with, I'm good friends with the members of the Austin Craft Mafia. Last weekend we had a clothing swap and Jen Perkins blogged about it. Her sister Hope Perkins is my roommate and a rad artist to boot.
7. I have three rad little brothers. The youngest Caleb is only 15 years old and he has mad skillz at Dance Dance Revolution. Mad Skillz. He can also solve a Rubik's Cube in a heartbeat.
